In November, I started going on daily walks to cle In November, I started going on daily walks to clear my head. Along the trail was this abandoned house with standing water, moldy studs, and a ton of graffiti. 

Every time I’d walk by this house, I’d wonder why they didn’t just tear it down. Even yesterday, I thought how strange it was that someone was holding onto a barely standing house. 

Today, as I approach the seemingly abandoned and forgotten house, I hear hammering, saws, and laughter from the men working on the house I had written off as a dump. 

I can’t help but see the similarities to my own life. 

So often, I find myself wanting to quit, or worse, actually quitting something because I couldn’t see the little progress being made.

This is a little reminder that things could look horrendous for months and, in a few hours, could be made new again. You can go from seeing no progress or signs of redemption to all of a sudden seeing the vision. 

I guess that is what faith is after all. Trusting the outcome even when it seems all hope is lost.
